No. SPEKTRUM health requires a letter of support from a mental health professional before starting Gender Affirming Treatment (GAT, aka “HRT”) for the first time. This letter can often be done with just one appointment with one of our Therapists here. It can be done in-person or virtually (using telemed) perfect for locals or people throughout the country! This letter of support is helpful for aiding with insurance coverage/appeals and other logistic matters pertaining to your transition.
